Jeanette Reynolds is Partner Engagement Specialist at SA2020 - a nonprofit organization that drives progress toward a shared vision for a thriving San Antonio by reporting on community indicators, informing and activating the public, and aligning efforts toward the community’s goals.
While not born in Texas, Jeanette got here as quick as she could... which wasn't terribly fast at all. A farm girl from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where her family has lived for more than 10 generations, Jeanette spent much of her childhood outside appreciating nature.
Before moving to San Antonio, Jeanette worked with earthday365 as Programs and Communication Director, where she was responsible for advancing its mission of cultivating environmental stewardship and engaging all sectors of the community in action to support a healthy and sustainable future; as well as, planning the second largest Earth Day celebration in the country - the St. Louis Earth Day Festival.
Jeanette has earned a BA in Communication from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia and a MA in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex in Falmer, England. She also served as an U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Fiji 2006-2008, where she helped residents of a housing project establish a parent-led education advocacy group, which continues to operate today.
