Butterfly Walk

Government Canyon is home to many species of butterflies including the migratory Monarch!  Come join a Ranger for a walk around the Natural Area in search of butterflies.  Feel free to bring the kiddos in a carrier but be advised that the hike may not be stroller friendly.

Who is Invited

This program is open to all ages; minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Registration & Fees

Registration required for each person. Sorry, no group registrations. Natural Area entry fees apply; stop at the Entrance Fee Booth to self-pay/register.

When & Where to Meet

Arrive by 8:45am. Meet at the rainwater tower next to the Visitor's Center. Plan ahead, as the Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and there may be wait time at the fee booth.
