Mother’s Day Plant Walk

Spend Mother’s Day with Mother Nature! Come with us in search of Texas wildflowers and other native plants.  Moderate intensity hike; must be able to walk over rocky, uneven ground.


1. Who is Invited
Open to ages 8 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets.

2. What to Wear & Carry
Dress appropriately, sunscreen and hat recommended, wear sturdy footwear for hiking over rough terrain; bring two liters of water and a snack. Bring your camera. Photography is encouraged!

3. Rules
No picking flowers allowed. 
No pets please.

4. When & Where  to Meet
Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of this program; if the natural area is experiencing unusually heavy visitation you may get caught waiting in line to get past the Fee Booth, and we’d hate for you to be late to the program! Meet at the Visitor Center no later than 7:45AM; the hike starts promptly at 8:00AM.

5. Registration & Cost
Registration required and will be accepted until noon May 12, 2017. Sorry, no group reservations. Include name, age if under 18, e-mail address and telephone number for each reservation. Natural area entry fees apply. Learn More
