Plants for Attracting Wildlife to Your Backyard

Join TPWD Urban Biologist Judit Green to learn about local native plants that will beautify your garden, benefit wildlife (including Monarchs who desperately need our help), and conserve water.  Common plants that grow in the Natural Area will be highlighted.  There will be a short walk around the Natural Area headquarters and nearby Discovery Trail.

Who is Invited

Open to all ages; minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

When & Where to Meet

Arrive by 8:45 AM, the hike starts promptly at 9:00 AM.  Meet near the rainwater harvesting tower next to the Visitor’s Center. Plan ahead, as the Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and wait time at the fee booth.
