Join SOS Adventure Master Outdoor Leader Joey Rios on a special overnight clinic and learn the skills you'‘ll need to be prepared and stay alive in the outdoors! This interactive course is designed to teach adults the skills needed to be confident and safe if lost or experiencing trouble in the wilderness.  Activities will include demonstrations and hands-on instruction. Participants MUST commit to overnight and BOTH dates in order to attend the clinic.  

Who Is Invited

Open to ages 14 and older; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.  

Registration & Fees

Registration required for EACH participant. Note: you are registering for an OVERNIGHT Clinic. Sorry, no group registrations.  Natural Area entry fees apply; stop at the Entrance Fee Booth to self-pay/register. 

When & Where to Meet

Clinic begins at NOON. We strongly recommend arriving 30 minutes early. The Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and wait time at the fee booth. Meet at the Group Pavilion off Parking Lot A. 

What to Wear & Bring

Dress for the weather; bring plenty of water, a snack and sun protection. Don't forget to read the information document, gather your gear and complete the liability form.  

Requirements

Group size is limited to 12.  No pets please.  Participants MUST commit to BOTH days of the clinic. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian for the duration of the clinic. To reduce human impact on the Natural Area, please follow the Leave No Trace principles of outdoor ethics.  Each participant MUST complete a liability form and bring the gear from the gear list.
