Do you hike with your dog in the Texas summertime?  Come learn how to keep them cool and happy, and how to recognize when they're trying to tell you "Hey, I'm a hot dog!!"

Bring your 4-footed friend and join us in the shade of our "Hot Dog Pop-Up" event at the Government Canyon Frontcountry Trailhead in Parking Lot C.  Find out why going for walks in the afternoon heat can be dangerous for your favorite friend.  Learn how to recognize your dog's warning signs of canine heat exhaustion and prevent heat injury.  You'll also learn on-the-spot first aid measures you can take to provide your pup with the best chance for full recovery.  

Pop-Up Station volunteers will be on-site in Parking Lot C at the Frontcountry Trailhead from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
