Calling all Geocachers! Join us on a hike to hunt for some of GCSNA’s geocaches.

Who is Invited

Open to ages 8 and up; minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Open to cachers of all levels; some prior knowledge of caching is required. Participants must already be registered with a username on http://geocaching.com.

Registration & Fees

Registration required for EACH participant.  Sorry, no group registrations.  Natural Area entry fees apply; stop at the Entrance Fee Booth to self-pay/register.

When & Where to Meet

Arrive by 8:45 AM. Meeting location coordinates will be sent via email the day prior to the event.  Plan ahead, as the Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and wait time at the fee booth.  

What to Wear & Bring

Bring your own GPS unit of you may borrow one of ours. Don’t forget some items for trading in the caches! NOTE: Cell phones apps will not work on the trails. Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring one liter of water per person.

Should you need to cancel your registration, please do so via Eventbrite or contact us at registrations@friendsofgc.org.  On inclement mornings, check trail conditions by calling GCSNA's main office at 210-688-9055 after 7:30AM, or by going to the GCSNA twitter feed or the Friends of Government Canyon Facebook page.
