Intro to Hiking: for Women Only

  • 12861 Galm Road San Antonio, TX, 78254 United States (map)

Want to wander through the beautiful Texas Hill Country, but unsure of how to begin? Interested in hiking through nature but have only trekked sidewalks and H-E-B aisles? Looking for a Chupacabra? This event is for YOU!

Absolutely ZERO experience required – in fact encouraged! Learn the basics of how to prepare and what to expect, but most importantly you will enjoy a short and easy hike (1.5 miles, flat gravel trail, mostly shaded). Hike guides will identify native plants, search for animals like armadillo and endangered birds, and discuss 10,000+ years of human inhabitation right here in Bexar County. After the hike will be a presentation with a Q&A session should you want to learn even more.

Who is Invited

Open to women ages 12 and older; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please.
