Our story this time is Vulture View, by April Pulley Sayre. We'll learn about these often-misunderstood creatures, then take a short hike to see if we can see any soaring above. After, there will be s'mores at the campfire.
Who is Invited
All are welcome, but this activity is best for ages 5-10 years. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. No pets please.
This is a public program intended for families. If you would like to bring a group for a program at Government Canyon, please contact the Park Interpreter at Lisa.Cole@tpwd.texas.gov to schedule at a different time.
Registration, Fees, Day Passes & Cancellation
Registration is NOT required for this activity. Though the program is free, all Natural Area entry fees apply.
To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass . Day passes can be reserved beginning one month before the date of your visit.
When & Where to Meet
This activity meets at the Amphitheater, near the Frontcountry Trailhead. Lot C will be the closest parking. There is a gravel path leading from the parking lot to the amphitheater, a distance of about 120’. The amphitheater is near an accessible restroom.
What to Wear & Bring
Dress for time spent outdoors. Comfortable shoes, bug spray and a hat are recommended. Bring at least one bottle of water per person.
