Did you know that Government Canyon State Natural Area is in the perfect viewing path for the Oct. 14, 2023 and April 8, 2024 solar eclipses? Join us for October’s First Saturday Hike where we will explore how eclipses were regarded through the ages.
We will travel through time with a voyage to the dinosaur tracks, a visit to one of our founding family’s homes and a stop at the site of an indigenous people’s encampment. Along the way, we will discuss eclipse fact and fiction. The stuff legends are made of!!
