So, you’ve watched the eclipse from Chula Vista – NOW WHAT? Do you head straight back to your car, leave the Natural Area, and get stuck in traffic with everyone else who has been away from home watching the eclipse?
Why not take a guided hike with the trail guide stationed at Chula Vista Overlook during the eclipse? You'll walk on the Far Reaches and Wildcat Canyon Trails down to the Joe Johnston Route and back to the Visitor Center. By the time you get back, traffic should have thinned out and you should be able to get home more quickly.
Who is Invited
Open to ages 10 and above; participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; no pets please. Be sure you are prepared to hike about 4 miles after the eclipse on rocky, uneven terrain with some elevation change.
