This is one of many 100-year celebration events happening in Texas State Parks this year. Texas State Parks will be hosting fun and unique s’mores celebrations across Texas on May 13.

What better way to celebrate the past 100 years of Texas State Parks and look forward to 100 more years than enjoying s’mores with family or friends?

Join Ranger Heather and some special volunteers at the Government Canyon SNA Group Picnic Pavilion at 11:00am on May 13th.  There will be a short presentaion on s'mores and materials will be provided (thanks to the Friends of Government Canyon!) while supplies last.  After the presentation the format will be "come-and-go" while supplies last or until 12:30pm.

Registration & Fees

Registration is NOT required for this program. However, though the program is free, all Natural Area entry fees apply.

To guarantee entrance, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass. Day passes may be reserved up to one month in advance of this special event.
