Want to wander through the beautiful Texas Hill Country, but unsure how to begin? Interested in hiking through nature but have only trekked sidewalks and H-E-B aisles? Looking for a chupacabra? This event is for YOU!
Absolutely ZERO experience required – in fact encouraged! Learn the basics of how to prepare and what to expect, but most importantly you will enjoy a short and easy hike (1.5 miles, flat gravel trail, mostly shaded). Hike guides will identify native plants, search for animals like armadillo and endangered birds, and discuss 10,000+ years of human inhabitation right here in Bexar County. After the hike will be a presentation with a Q&A session should you want to learn even more.
Who is Invited
Open to women ages 12 and older; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please.
