GCSNA opened on October 15, 2005. That’s 20 years of visitors like you coming out to hike, run, bike, bird, camp, learn, and appreciate the beauty of this special place. Do you have photos which capture that beauty? Here’s an opportunity to share, and win a prize contributed by our Friends group. Winning entries will also be shared on our social media channels throughout October.
PHOTO SUBMISSION CATEGORIES
We’re accepting photo submissions in four categories from July 1 through August 31, 2025.
Flora and Fauna, Adult submission (16 years and up)
Flora and Fauna, Youth submission (under 16 years old)
People in Nature, Adult submission (16 years and up)
People in Nature, Youth submission (under 16 years old)
RULES
Photographers may submit no more than one photo per category.
Submitted photos must be original work, taken by the entrant. No third party can control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe on copyrights or trademarks of any other entity.
Photo files should be submitted as jpgs, less than 8 MB.
If a photograph contains a recognizable individual, entrant must include a signed release form upon submission. (See forms below.)
By entering the contest, entrants are granting TPWD the ability to use the photo(s) in publicity.
Entries will be judged by a committee of staff and volunteers. Their decisions are final.
Winners will be contacted via the email provided in their entry.
