Patricia Schofield, now retired, has a long standing interest in conservation and the outdoors and in symphonic music. She served as Executive Director of the Mid-Texas Symphony from August 2008 - June 2014. In 2007-08, she taught Non-Governmental Organizations Law as a Fulbright Senior Scholar at Sofia University in Bulgaria. Before moving to Bulgaria, she served as the San Antonio Symphony’s Grants Director and In-House Counsel from 2004-07. Between 1985 and 2004, she practiced law in San Antonio with Drought, Drought, & Bobbitt and in Bucharest, Romania with Altheimer & Gray. As a followup to her own Fulbright experience, she regularly serves on the panel screening Bulgarian applicants for Fulbright scholarships to the United States. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court. She graduated from the University of Texas School of Law (with honors, Order of the Coif) and the State University of New York (B.A., M.S.). She served as an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review and co-authored articles related to transacting business in Romania. She enjoys camping and hiking and still plans, someday soon, to through hike the Appalachian Trail.
Retired, Executive Director
