iNaturalist Pollinator BioBlitz

Join a Government Canyon Ranger for a tech-savvy BioBlitz around the Natural Area.  Participants will learn how to use the iNaturalist app during orientation, then test their skills in the field, taking photos and marking GPS locations of species (particularly pollinators) with the iNaturalist app.  No experience is required!

Who Is Invited

Open to ages 13 and older; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. No pets please.

Registration & Fees

Registration required for EACH participant.  Sorry, no group registrations.  Natural Area entry fees apply; stop at the Entrance Fee Booth to self-pay/register.

When & Where to Meet

Arrive by 8:15 am as the iNaturalist orientation starts promptly at 8:30 am.  Meet in the Exhibit Gallery next to the Visitor's Center.  Following the orientation, there will be a two hour hike.  Plan ahead, as the Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and wait time at the fee booth.

What to Wear & Bring
