City Nature Challenge Hike at Government Canyon

Join a Park Range on a hike to identify as many plant and animal species as we can find.  This hike is being conducted as part of the City Nature Challenge, which is a fun competition between 7 different Texas cities to see who can document the most species from April 27 - 30.  No experience required, this is a great learning opportunity where participants are encouraged to point out things they see so we can identify them together.  We will be using the iNaturalist app to help identify and record what species are seen.  Use of iNaturalist is not required for the hike, but any participants who would like to use the app are encouraged to download it at : https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/getting+started.  More information on the City Nature Challenge can be found at:  tpwd.texas.gov/naturechallenge.
